This essay is going to be talking about the differences in the scenes between the three movies, which we have seen in class, which are:”The 1968 Zeffirelli Film, the 1996 Luhrmann Film and West Side Story.”

If we talk about all three movies, we can say that they may have the same script, but each one looks a little bit different. The first movie which is the 1968 Zeffirelli Film, you can tell that it’s set at the Elizabethan Era at Verona Italy, and all the guys in the movie are wearing tights, and the girls are mostly wearing dresses. Unlike the first movie the other two look really different, the 1996 Luhrmann Film is set up at our days in California and dress with loose clothing like t-shirts and more… and in West Side Story is set at the 50’s in New York and wear tuxedos and shirts, and the girls are wearing mainly dresses.

At all of the three movies, they had two groups that will always fight each other. In the first and the second movie it was the Capulet’s and the Montague’s, but in West Side Story the Capulet’s were the Sharks and the Montague’s were the Jets.

The first fighting scene right at the beginning of the movie looked really differently in each movie. In the Zeffirelli Film, the people were fighting with swords and it was happening in the middle of the court yard. Now in the second movie the guys had guns instead of swords which said on them: “9mm swords”, which I thought was pretty funny, and it was at the gas station, and in West Side Story they were having a fist fight at the playground and around that area.

Everybody always thinks and imagines about how their marriage would look like, but not in those three movies. In those movies everything happens and gets decided in a couple minutes. For example in the Zeffirelli Film, Romeo and Juliet meet at the dance and decide that they need to meet at church on the next day to get married. In the Luhrmann Film Romeo and Juliet do the same thing where they meet at the dance and Romeo tells Juliet to come to the church, to get married. But in West Side Story Tony and Maria pretend to get married through a dance, where they dress up too.

The next scene that is happening and one of the important ones is how, Romeo gets involved in a fight which goes wrong. The most real thing is happening in the Zeffirelli Film, and what’s happening is that Marcutio gets in a sword fight with Tybalt, and Marcutio gets stabbed by mistake, and then Romeo challenges Tybalt into a sword fight with him, and that’s where Tybalt dies. In the Luhrmann Film, Marcutio gets cut with a piece of glass, and Romeo shoots Tybalt for that. The most fair fist fight in the West Side Story turned into a little knife fight, where Riff gets stabbed first, and that’s when Tony comes and stabs Barnard for what he has done to his friend.

The last scene is talking about how Romeo and Juliet die. In the Zeffirelli Film Romeo doesn’t read the letter, where it says what actually happened to Juliet. But when Romeo comes to the tomb he thinks that’s she is dead, and drinks poison which makes Juliet stab herself after that. In the Luhrmann Film, the exact same thing is happening but at the end she uses Romeo’s gun to shoot herself. But In West Side Story as Tony and Maria are going for a hug a guy from the sharks comes out of nowhere and shoots Tony in the heart, but Maria doesn’t die.

The Absolutely True Diary Of A Part Time Indian by Sherman Alexie, is a book about an Indian kid named Junior who was born with water on the brain, forty two teeth, and lots of hope. Junior lives on the Rez, and to fulfill his dreams of being accepted, and getting better education, he switches to a full white school. At first it is hard for him, but after Junior gets new friends and even a girlfriend. After a while he joins the basketball team and is one of the best players.
At this point in time, Indians were not allowed to think big and nobody paid any attention to Indian dreams. Junior draws pictures to talk to the world to show his understandings of the ways the racism has deeply impacted his and his family’s lives. Junior shows strong feeling about his parents and their dreams, struggling with his own identity, and overall feelings through his dreams.

Indians are not very Rich and smart. Lots of movies show that Indians drink and like getting high. But not all Indians are like, but because of the majority that do that, most of them do not get respected as equally. Junior’s parents are very poor, however both of them have dreams. Junior’s dad would have been “The fifth best Jazz Sax player west of the Mississippi” (pg. 12), along with his mother who could have been a “Spokane Falls community college teacher of the year 1992-98” (pg. 12).
Junior gets really effected from that his parents don’t work. Junior loses his best friend Oscar (The dog) because they did not have the money to cure him, “Junior sweetheart,” Mom said. “I’m sorry, but we don’t have any money for Oscar.” (pg. 10) After what happened to his best friend Junior realizes how horrible it is to be poor.

Most Indians before never knew there real culture because of people like Mr.P who said that “We were supposed to kill Indian to save the child”. (pg. 35) His job was to make Indian kids give up on being Indian and start act like a white kid. In most places before when an Indian walked inside some place where a lot of people hung out, Indian’s would get the weird looks, and maybe later could end with a fight, and all because of the way Indians are treated.
Junior gets expelled for throwing a book at the teachers face, which than makes him think what can happen if he does not go to school. A week into suspension, Junior was sitting on his front porch when Mr.P walked up his drive way. While Junior sits with Mr.P, he says to Junior “You’re going to find more and more hope the farther and farther you walk away from this sad, sad, sad reservation.” (pg. 43) After a while Junior switches into an all white school to get a better future. At first when he came to school, he met a lot of new kids. Because of Junior being Indian he was made fun of. Junior herd a joke from a new kid he met, that was really racist, “Did you know that Indians are living proof that niggers fuck buffalo?” (pg. 64) Junior could not hold it anymore and punched that kid in the face, after a while Junior started gaining more and more respect, and was one of the most popular kids at school.

Lots of famous artists, draw pictures of things that are seen every day, but some artists draw weird pictures, and not all people can understand what the picture means.
Lots of artists draw pictures that describe some sort of feeling, or maybe something that happened to them and even something they want to do.
Through the whole book, Junior draws pictures that show what people look like, decisions, his feelings, and even some funny ones. A couple of pictures show the way that Junior gets offended, or made fun of. “White/Indian” (pg. 57) this picture shows Junior and his stuff, and the stuff he could have had if he was white. For Example if white “A Bright Future” if Indian “A Vanishing Past”. (pg. 57) After a couple of years, when he is grown, he can be a famous cartoonist if someone will listen to his dreams.

Junior Knows That because he was born on an Indian reserve, he will have lots of difficulties being accepted, but to get through that he draws pictures and even punches a kid in the face once, “So I punched Roger in the face.” (pg. 65)
The Absolutely True Diary Of A Part Time Indian by Sherman Alexie, tells the story of a kid who is all nerdy and has water on the brain, who goes through very hard times but at the very end gets respected. This book is an excellent example of how you can go from being all nerdy and having nothing to someone who gets really respected and have lots of friends.

My audience will probably be people from the age 10 and up because I saw friends of my brother which are ten, that have an IPod shuffle and my grandpa which is 60 years of age listens to music

I chose to do that iPod because I thought it’s one of the coolest iPods that you can buy for not a lot of money. And it is actually pretty easy for use. Like you see in those pictures below.

How thick is the crust and how deep is the ocean?

Under the ice on jupiters moon Europa there is a huge ocean which may contain life in it.
The ocean is 9 times deeper then the deepest ocean trench and gravitational affects from a planet 318 times the mass of Earth.
Estimating based on the size of the smallest plates (approximately 10 km in diameter), the frozen surface crust may be only a few kilometers thick. Europa has a bulk density of about 3.0 grams per cubic centimeter, 3 times the density of water, so it is believed to be primarily composed of silicates. However, this density still allows for an outer shell of water and/or ice up to 100 km thick surrounding the rocky interior.

How do we know Europa’s surface is made of ice?

The Voyager and Galileo spacecraft were not equipped with instruments which could directly detect water or water ice. Observations of Europa show the geometric albedo is generally high, indicative of a reflective surface. Earth-based observations of the infrared spectra of Europa and the other Galilean satellites were made in the early 1970’s from ground and airborne observatories (4,5). The observations used Michelson interferometer spectrometers and showed that Europa strongly absorbs infrared light with wavelengths of 1.4 and 1.8 microns. This is a distinctive characteristic of water ice, and the strength of the absorption in these bands coupled with the otherwise high albedo is indicative of comparatively uncontaminated ice.

It was Tuesday morning, somewhere around seven o’clock in the morning. But Nick was dreaming how he was riding his superfast car called THE ZOOM, but then unexpectedly after the turn his car flipped because of a big explosion;
Than a deep manly voice said:”Breakfast is ready.”

That was Nicks signal to get up out of his bed, dress up and go downstairs to eat and then go to school. When he came to school, Nick always passed beside the garbage room than was near the cooking room, and smelled the smell of bad, rotten vegetables that the teacher threw in the garbage. Every time he smelled the smell of it, he remembered how once he had to slice a rotten vegetable and ate it because the meanest kid in school that everyone is scared of, made him, and his name is Butch.
But never mind that, lets meet Nick’s best friend Nicola, him and Nick always play nascar racing on weekends with their toys because that was their like main hobby to do, but they knew it was kind of nerdy to do that so they stopped doing it at school too. And they had the only one enemy, Butch.
At school their favorite subject was building little cars, which you get to race on at the end of the year. So during the year, he and Nicola tried to build the best one in class; they colored it with some funky cool graphic designs, and found some of the best parts to put in a little racing car in the shop which is at school. But their “enemy” Butch, was making a car too because he wanted to win the prize of a $500 gift card to the best pizza place in their city.
Nick and Nicola decided that if they finished the car, they can leave it like that and check how it works after a week or so. But one day Butch sneaked into the shop and putted little bombs into the engine so he loses. But then after one week Nick and Nicola decided not to check it because they thought everything is ok with it.
At the day of the big race, everyone was excited to see who is going to be the winner, because all the cars were good looking from the inside and the outside, even the judges didn’t know what to say.
And then on the big monitor in front of all the racers big numbers showed 3…2…1…GO. Every one moved so quickly out of the spot you couldn’t see them, but there was only one problem Nicks’ and Nicolas’ car didn’t work. When Nicola checked it he saw that the engine was broken, and wasn’t so happy about it to tell Nick, because he knew that he is going to be really disappointed but he still did.
But then Nick said very sadly:”There will always be another year.”

As they came back to school they already had cool new technology, which meant better ideas for the car this year and better engines and other parts.
This year Nick and Nicola built a new car, and tried to put the newest technology, so nothing will happen to the car again like before. And the car pretty much looked like this: inside of the car, each part was covered in some plastic think and got locked so nothing happens again. And they also had secret like weapons inside of the car if needed at the middle of the race, also the outside looked cool with circular graphics on it.
After a couple months in school the big race opened and every one once again came to see it.
In couple minutes, a big monitor and a person yelled loudly 3…2…1…GO. And this time actually every one moved out of their spots and pretty fast that you couldn’t even see them. In the race Nick and Nicola were in the lead, but Butch was right behind them trying to pass by stopping Nick and Nicola or just to get from the side. This technique of his didn’t work so he started bumping Nicks’ and Nicolas’ car, so Nick decided to throw out the nails, which made Butch lose his wheels and lose the whole race. But unlike Butch, Nick and Nicola were first and won the race and the prize.

If you live in building 525N, go out of the front big door and down the three stairs, turn right and walk straight untill you find a side walk. When you find this side walk, step on it than turn right and walk straight on the side walk until you find a road that is going exactly between Lanark Gardens and JB Mitchel. Look to the sides and cross the road and continue walking straight.
To get to the bus stop, you should cross JB Mitchel, the big field and the kindergarden. After you crossed the kindergarden, there is a big road to cross, but before you cross you have to find a silver button that is going to be on your right side on a post, to cross you have to press it. When youre going to press it, the lights are going to flicker on and off and the cars are going to stop. Than you can cross the road to Grant Avenue, when youre going to turn right youre gonna see a bus stop, wait for the bus thats going to say 66, go on this bus and when you get to Cambridge, pass it and get out on the second bus stop.
When youre getting out of the bus walk straight untill you find 4 big doors on the right, then open one of the doors walk in and youre going to be in school.

Once there was a huge blue egg.And one time a light form that was flying got hit, because it got crushedinto the huge egg. After a while the egg cracked and broke and a big, huge red Dragon fell out of there and his name was Ping. He was really bored so he created himself another two Dragons, so one of them could control the sky and the other one will control the ground.
The Dragon that was controlling the sky was blue colored and his name was Bimbo, and he started to make the blue/black sky and the clouds, and especially made the space and all the stars. The Dragon that was controlling the ground was brown colored and his name was Luma, and he started to make the mountains & the ground.
After a while Ping died, and his hair turned to all the plants that are now in the world, his bones turned into other animals’ bones, and the skin turned into oceans, lakes, rivers and more.

After a while Bimbo and Luma died because they were really old; they were 9850 years old. After the first star fell on earth a new life was born anf his name was Flaman. He was flying around the world, to see if everything was ok and nothing is dying or being ruined by things like the ground or the sky.

One time Flaman was really bored so he decided that he is going to make people on this world, so he made one male person and one female person so they can continue the world. Flaman told the man that his name will be Bambo and the woman’s name is Gamboo, and after that nobody saw Flaman ever again, because animals appeard instead of him. So Bambo and Gamboo started to continue the world, they made their first kid and named him Billy. With Billy around, they were making houses out of wood and they were making tools to cut stuff and to hunt.

They were hunting for pigs or elephants after that they were eating together as a family, and by that the first culture was born.

Once in Israel there was a person named Bill, he was hungry and he wanted to make something new that no body ate before. So he decided to make grilled chicken with tomatoes, but he didn’t know it was already invented. When he was making the chicken he added too much salt and that how the story begins

Because of too much salt, a new disease was created now called HYPER STEATOSIS which is a worm; it looks like a flamey stick with hair, an evil looking eye and boxing hands. But when Bill tasted the grilled chicken with tomatoes, he didn’t taste or felt anything strange. He only tasted the crunchy good chicken, but the thing he didn’t know is that he let the worm inside his body. On the next day, Bill was outside with his friends Alex, Nicole and Bob playing games. Then they wanted to eat, so Bill told them about the grilled chicken and if they wanted to try it and his friends agreed, so Bill went to mAke the grilled chicken but this time with not too much salt. When the grilled chicken was ready Bill gave it to his friends, but the worms could spread by flying through the air, coughing on a person or pinching. Alex got his worms from flying in the air from Bill, Nicole got it because Alex pinched her and than Nicole coughed on Bob.
After two month his friends and him got little worms comin out of there noses, and there noses got bigger too because of that fat. While the friends were playing, the worms started to spread in the air and it got to RUSSIA, CHINA but mostly to IRAQ, NIGERIA, LEBANON, AZA, SAUDI ARABIA and CANADA, and it came all the way from Israel because of Bill and it affected 89% of every country. But it affected only the people that ate mostly meat. The pandemic problem that happend is that the children and teens ate mostly meat because they played alot of sports, but not all of them survived and because of that the population of the world went down to 1000 people.(not all people could live with big noses).
But when Bill and his friends stopped eating Bill’s chicken with tomatoes, Bill and his friends noticed that the noses got smaller, so they stopped eating chicken for there whole lives, and it means that the worms don’t have anything to eat so they all die.
When Bill, Alex, Bob and Nicole grew up and married, they tried to give there kids less meat to eat so they don’t get this disease too.
