Romeo & Juliet
Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy story. It is a very romantic story.
Romeo and Juliet is on of the frequently performed plays in William Shakespeare career.
Here are the characters that were in the play and what they do:
Romeo & Juliet
House of Capulet
-Capulet is the patriarch of the house of Capulet.
-Lady Capulet is the matriarch of the house of Capulet.
-Juliet is the daughter of the Capulets, and is the play’s female protagonist.
-Tybalt is a cousin of Juliet, and the nephew of Lady Capulet.
-The Nurse is Juliet’s personal attendant and confidante.
-Peter, Samson and Gregory are servants of the Capulet household.
-Rosaline, a niece to Lord Capulet, is an unseen character with who Romeo is in love before meeting Juliet.
Ruling house of Verona
-Prince Escalus is the ruling Prince of Verona
-Paris is a kinsman of Escalus who wishes to marry Juliet.
-Mercutio is another kinsman of Escalus, and a friend of Romeo.
House of Montague
-Montague is the patriarch of the house of Montague.
-Lady Montague is the matriarch of the house of Montague.
-Romeo is the son of the Montagues, and is the play’s male protagonist.
-Benvolio is a cousin, and friend, of Romeo.
-Abram and Balthasar are servants of the Montague household.
Others
-Friar Laurence is a Franciscan friar, and is Romeo’s confidant.
-A Chorus reads a prologue to each of the first two acts.
-Friar John is sent to deliver Friar Laurence’s letter to Romeo.
-An Apothecary reluctantly sells Romeo poison.
In the end two loving kids died because of their hearts. It was a really sad scene.
Description of Juliet: -She is young, naive, innocent, passionate, adolescent, fanciful, pretty, and romantic and has lots of hormones swirling round.
-Juliet is really young she is 13, turning 14 in the play.
Description of Romeo: -is a romantic guy he was young when he did the play,
-He really loved Juliet.
-He changes his love really quick from Rosaline to Juliet.
-He can do everything for Juliet.
-He is a nice guy that people like him,
Romeo and Juliet loved each other in the play so much that they could kill themselves if someone between them was dead.
William Shakespeare
Early days:
William Shakespeare was a really famous writer back in the days. His parents send him to school. William created a new language. He was born in April 26 1564 and died in April 23 1616. The Famous plays of William Shakespeare were Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet. Back in the days his plays were played by only guys. He played his plays in the Globe Theater. The theater was located in London. It was built at 1599, 410 years ago. The Globe Theatre was destroyed by fire in 1613 and people rebuild it on 1614 on the same site.
